A striking Italianate style mansion & former Catholic chapel, surrounded by 12 acres of gardens, woodland & parkland and endowed with stunning views across rolling Warwickshire countryside, Bourton Hall is the perfect venue for wedding day dreams to come true. Nestled in the heart of Shakespeare country, Bourton Hall is Warwickshire's new and exciting exclusive-use wedding venue.
Built for John Shuckburgh in 1791, the original house has had many additions and remodels. Today stands an impressive Italianate-country house with pretty sandstone ashlar, romantic balcony and the two large three-story canted bays give the notion of a fairy-tale castle. As soon as you step foot in the door, the large reception hall with original feature staircase is set underneath two stunning glass cupolas that flood the space with natural light.
Bourton Hall is set in 15 acres of grounds including a manicured croquet lawn, parkland, pond and woodlands, all of which are ideal for photographs, whatever the season. Enjoy a drinks reception, with some croquet on the lawn in the summer, and in winter months, appreciate the views from the warmth of roaring wood burners inside. Perched on a ridge above the Leam Valley, the main terrace is perfect for enjoying cocktails in the afternoon sun while appreciating the expansive views beyond. For those that venture out into the gardens, you will find hidden gems around every turn, including an original feature Italianate pond.
We offer three perfect ceremony choices for both inside and out: get married in the idyllic setting of our former-Catholic chapel or in the more intimate setting of our Italian Room complete with crystal chandelier and ornate ceiling within the main house. On warmer days, opt for an al fresco affair under the portico with your very own country house backdrop. The Italianate former-Catholic chapel provides an idyllic backdrop for your civil ceremony complete with an ornate carved wood & gold leaf ceiling. The minstrel’s gallery is ideal for your musicians as you make your entrance from the Italianate gallery and begin your walk down the aisle.
We know just how important premier catering and service are on your day - our dedicated in-house team of chefs and banqueting managers are here to wow your guests with delicious delicacies and efficient service. Select from an array of gastronomic dishes for every taste or create your own menu with your Personal Wedding Manager, who will guide you through every aspect of your day. The Banqueting Hall is the perfect setting to dine your guests in style, with extensive views across rolling countryside to the Draycote Water beyond. For the evening reception, you can enjoy a cocktail in the Chandelier Bar, relax in the Lounge or dance the night away in the Draycote Bar & Disco.
For the night of your wedding, there are ample luxurious bedroom suites within Bourton Hall, including the stunning Lady Bourton Bridal Suite & Dressing Room. All our rooms benefit from stunning countryside views, bespoke decor, tea & coffee making facilities and en-suite bathrooms or walk-in showers, and you & your guests can extend your celebrations at breakfast with a full English served in the Banqueting Hall.
Just 10 miles south-east of Coventry and 25 miles north-west of Northampton, Bourton Hall offers a secluded country setting in an easily accessible position – perfect for those with guests coming from both north and south.
