About

Looking for something truly extraordinary?

Preston Court isn’t just a wedding venue — it’s an experience. A rare and remarkable setting, tucked away within 600 acres of private Kent countryside, where history, romance and celebration intertwine.

Surrounded by ornamental lakes, sweeping gardens and open farmland, Preston Court feels like stepping into another world. A 17th Century barnyard sits at its heart, framed by an Oast House, Coach House, stables and the Granary Barn — each rich with character and centuries of stories.

But what truly sets Preston Court apart is its wonderfully eclectic spirit.

Hidden within these historic buildings is a remarkable collection of steam engines, vintage fairground rides and magnificent mechanical organs — including the beautifully restored Victorian Carousel. The Gothic-style Oast House houses towering Victorian beam engines and fascinating curiosities, creating dramatic and unforgettable backdrops for your celebration.

The Kentish Barn

The magnificent oak-framed Kentish Barn is the centrepiece of the estate. With vast doors that open along the entire south-facing front, the barn seamlessly blends indoor celebration with the charm of the barnyard beyond.

Inside, two striking Art Deco mechanical organs frame each end of the space, adding vintage grandeur and a unique visual statement.

This 17th Century barn is licensed for civil marriages, vow renewals, naming ceremonies and civil partnerships. It’s equally magical for wedding breakfasts and evening receptions — with a generous dance floor and raised stage ready for live bands and DJs to bring the night to life.

The Lodge Barn

Nestled beside the Kentish Barn and Granary, the Lodge Barn offers a more intimate setting. Complete with its own bar, it’s perfect as an additional reception space or for smaller, more personal gatherings.

Juliana’s Island

Follow the yew archway through the gardens and you’ll discover Juliana’s Island — a romantic, moated sanctuary set on the lake before Preston Court Manor House.

A decorative iron bridge leads you across the water, creating a breathtaking entrance and unforgettable photo opportunities. Beneath an ancient yew tree and graceful weeping birch sits a charming pagoda, where blessings and ceremonies can take place in a truly magical setting.

St Mildred’s Church

Opposite the Manor House stands the beautiful 12th Century church of St Mildred’s, surrounded by its idyllic churchyard. Even without a prior parish connection, couples may marry here — adding centuries of tradition to your modern love story.

Space to Breathe, Celebrate and Stay

The gardens stretch far beyond the formal lawns, opening into meadows, bluebell woods and farmland for guests to explore and enjoy.

For those wishing to extend the celebration, luxury on-site glamping accommodates up to 54 guests — including a spectacular Bridal Emperor Tent — allowing you to wake together the morning after in the peace of the countryside.

Thoughtfully Curated, Beautifully Delivered

Preston Court works with a carefully selected collection of trusted suppliers, chosen for their quality, creativity and value — from catering to floristry and décor — ensuring your day feels seamless and exceptional.

And Then… Night Falls

As evening arrives, Preston Court transforms.

Fairy lights twinkle across the barnyard. The carousel begins to whirl. Music drifts through the warm night air. Laughter echoes between historic walls.

The Kentish Barn, The Long Barn, Juliana’s Island, the gardens, the carousel and St Mildred’s Church come together to create something truly one-of-a-kind.

If you’re dreaming of a wedding that feels extraordinary, timeless and joyfully different — we would love to hear from you.
