Bore Place is a sustainable wedding venue located in beautiful Kent countryside. This private 500-acre estate includes landscaped gardens, a historic manor house and a large timber barn which offers the perfect space for big celebrations.

Bore Place House is an attractive Jacobean house offering a large drawing room with an open fire and doors opening on to the gardens as well as 12 bedrooms. It can be used for ceremonies or receptions.

A 17th Century timber barn offers an alternative flexible space that can seat up to 100 guests for dinner or hold more for a party or drinks reception. It has doors that open up onto an attractive courtyard and is often used for the wedding reception. Alternatively, it can also be used for wedding ceremonies or exchange of vows and is a great venue for traditional events.

Tucked away in the pretty, organically managed gardens is The Hide where many couples choose to get married. Perfect for outdoor ceremonies, with benches handmade from Bore Place oak and a charming shelter, this spot makes an idyllic setting for your ceremony and has capacity for up to 100 guests.


The Bore Place kitchen team is passionate about sustainable, nutritious food and, where possible, uses seasonal produce from its organic farm and gardens. Menus can be tailored to suit your style and budget and all dietary restrictions can be accommodated. They offer a wide choice for vegan and vegetarian weddings. If you wish, you are also very welcome to use your own caterers. An extra bonus is that Bore Place doesn’t charge corkage.

With overnight accommodation for 60+, in a variety of houses and cottages, as well as extra space for glampers and campers, Bore Place is the ideal venue for couples looking for an extended celebration. You get exclusive use of the estate for either the whole weekend or for two nights during the week. This gives you the chance to spend time with friends and family before and after the event, as well as allowing you to organise your wedding just how you want.
