Kate and Will, Meghan and Harry… now it’s your turn to have a wedding fit for royalty! From turrets and towers to grand halls and enchanting woodland, castles have always been the dream venue style.

Take a step into a fairytale with our portfolio of castles on Amazing Space Weddings, featuring the most cinematically stunning castle venues in the country, ready and waiting for your big day. We’ve put together a list of some of our favourite and most bewitching castle wedding venues to help you turn your fairytale into reality.

Durham Castle, Durham, County Durham

Durham Castle offers an exquisite venue for daytime and evening receptions and is set in the heart of Durham City overlooking the River Wear. Here, splendour and heritage is combined to make your day as magical as possible. Have a wedding breakfast in the historic Great Hall, dating back to 1284, and have a reception in the courtyard against the imposing castle backdrop.

If that wasn’t enough, you can even spend the night in the castle’s bishop suite, waking up in luxury suitable for the crown.

Leez Priory, Chelmsford, Essex

Nestled away in the Essex countryside, Leez Priory is a Tudor manor house exclusively used as a wedding venue. A sweeping driveway leads you to a place of forgotten grandeur, the imposing gates revealing a stunning and intimate wedding venue within a tranquil inner courtyard.

Leez Priory offers you the exclusive-use of a charming carriageway, the great tower, two reception rooms, bar and a characterful cellar disco. You will also have seven beautiful ceremony options available to you, including three outdoor options that will take your breath away. Surrounded by lush greenery, Leez Priory’s gardens are home to woodland, parkland, two beautiful lakes and a brook.

Allington Castle, Maidstone, Kent

Head over to Kent for a wedding straight out of a picture book at Allington Castle. The castle is privately owned, offering you exclusive access, and sits in 42 acres of beautiful countryside and woodlands. Look no further than here to make your fairy tale dreams come true, with a gorgeous moat, manicured lawns and beautiful fountains.

Set your wedding photographs against a backdrop of a large lake and beautiful gardens, featuring a lavender walk leading up to an Italian garden with a large pond and fountain, a rose arbour and a temple.

Lumley Castle Hotel, Chester-le-Street, Durham

Your guests will certainly doubt that you aren’t either royalty or a movie star if you exchange vows at this venue. Lumley Castle has dominated Durham's landscape for over 630 years, set within 9 acres of parkland overlooking the River Wear.

Lumley name themselves as a ‘magnificent monument to a bygone age of chivalry and honour, and a fairytale place in which to get married’. It doesn’t get better than that!

Wadhurst Castle, Wadhurst, East Sussex

It isn’t hard to step back in time at Wadhurst Castle. It's easy to imagine the knights, lords and ladies traversing its halls. Take your place in history at this venue, with exclusive use of the castle and its magnificent rooms and gardens all for you.

Choose between the Carriage Barn, the Victorian charm of the Winter Garden with its display of exoctic plants, or, for larger numbers, the grandeur of the drawing room. Come summertime, the walled garden is another perfect spot at this venue for your ceremony.

Borthwick Castle, Gorebridge, Edinburgh & Lothian

Come to Borthwick for tranquility, opulence and the quintessential Scottish castle experience. It's hard not to be impressed by this space when you enter through the ancient arched gateway, into a hidden world of luxury and majestic style that has existed since 1430.

This castle has held witness to key moments in the dramatic lives of historical figures, including Mary, Queen of Scots and Oliver Cromwell. But on your day, you take centre stage, with exclusive hire and an exquisite private setting. Whether you plan for decadance and grandeur or simplicity and intimacy, Borthwick Castle has had 600 years to get ready for you.

Neidpath Castle, Peebles, Scottish Borders

Is intimacy and romance more your style than dramatic grandeur, but you still don’t want to throw away the castle of your fairytale dreams? Look no further than Neidpath Castle in Scotland, perched high above the River Tweed. Unchanged since the 1400’s, with roaring log fires, tapestries and candles, Neidpath offers a romantic glimpse into Medieval life.

The focus may be on your wedding celebrations, but Neidpath offers some fascinating distractions for you and your guests. Look out at the incredible view on the battlements, peep into the medieval pit prison or explore the well within the vaulted cellars. This is the cosy castle of your dreams.

Pennsylvania Castle, Portland, Dorset

Have both beaches and castles on your wedding wish list? Pennsylvania Castle is the one for you, with stunning sea views, set on the cliffs of Dorset’s dramatic coastline. Pennsylvania Castle's neo-gothic design effortlessly combines intimacy, elegance and grandeur on a stunning estate that has inspired writers and hosted royalty for more than two centuries. Pennsylvania Castle offers a unique experience showcasing the beauty of the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coastline.

Your wedding will be as individual as you are; relaxed or extravagant, traditional or extraordinary. Pennsylvania Castle is unique, giving classic yet modern surroundings with emphasis on comfort and luxury - it even boasts a heated indoor pool which you certainly won’t find in many English castles!

Clearwell Castle, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire

This list promised a wedding fit for a Queen - but we didn’t specify which one! Clearwell Castle oozes cool as the former recording rooms of Queen and Led Zeppelin, featuring striking interiors and characterful architecture.

Donkeys will welcome you upon arrival to the 20 acres of grounds, with a cocktail terrace and a croquet lawn. The Ballroom boats a golden 75-foot long aisle for you to make your grand entrance. At Clearwell, there is no doubt that your wedding will be done in style, joining the likes of music legends to take advantage of this spectacular venue.

Warwick Castle, Warwick, Warwickshire

Last, but certainly not least, comes the incredibly grand Warwick Castle. Located in the centre of Warwickshire, this castle is the idyllic background for your special day. Earls of Warwick have hosted many lavish parties within these castle walls - let your special day follow in this long tradition!

Ceremonies can take place in the castle itself before a reception in the tranquil Peacock Gardens or States Rooms. Make your wedding truly memorable with Warwick Castle's long list of enchantments, from extravagant decor, to a gallant knight on horseback. Here, you can truly embrace your royal side.
