About

Trinity House is the working home of the General Lighthouse Authority and a treasure trove of maritime paintings, ships models and other artefacts, including the brass bell of the Royal Yacht Brittania.

Four of its five rooms are south facing providing stunning views of the Tower of London. The tall ceilings allow for height, light and space in the rooms, two of which are licensed for civil ceremonies.There are two main rooms, The Library (130 seated/180 standing) and the Court Room (80 seated/130 standing) which works well for receptions pre/post civil service ceremonies and wedding breakfasts.

In the Library, there is a minstrels' gallery for live chamber ensembles and two smaller adjoining rooms, one ideal as a separate dancefloor area.The Court room is dominated by an impressive trompe l'oeil painted ceiling and the smaller adjoining Luncheon Room provides additional flexibility.

Photography usually takes place on the distinctive twin-curved staircase and the Reception Hall is located inside the main entrance off a cobblestoned forecourt. The venue is located close to the Tower Hill underground and other convenient transport hubs, and is a five-minute walk from the River Thames.

Trinity House announces a new three-hour (dry-hire only) civil wedding ceremony in The Library and/or Court Rooms for £2,500 (weekdays taking place between 9am – 5pm) / £3,000 weekends (also between 9am – 5pm) not including VAT. While this does not include catering, corkage will not be charged if clients wish to organise their own beverages and two waiters plus glasses will be included in the offer for no extra charge. Exclusive use of the venue on Tower Hill remains a guarantee to ensure total privacy.
