The Roost is a huge, bohemian film, photographic and event studio location set in a former Victorian pub and arranged over four floors. Available to hire for weddings, events, film, stills, jiggles and jives, The Roost is filled with an eclectic mix of furniture, props, art work and wall finishes meaning that this quirky venue allows you to be as creative as you wish on your big day. They also have a wedding licence allowing civil ceremonies to be conducted in the building.

This four floor Victorian pub, built in 1863, comes with a wealth of beautiful original features. Decorated with an eclectic mix of wall finishes and statement wallpapers and filled with vintage furniture, eccentric props and bold artwork, the venue has a cosy homely feel with big fireplaces on the ground floor and large French doors opening onto an attractive planted garden.

Expansive windows provide good natural light throughout the ground and upper floors and there is a large basement that provides a wonderful space for evening entertainment. Live music (bands) and DJs are permitted but you will need to hire or provide a PA system that will cater for your requirements.

The Roost has an onsite commercial kitchen for your caterers to work in. They also have a list of preferred caterers who know the venue well and do a great job with fantastic food. For weddings and events you can bring you own alcohol to supply to your guests - there are no charges for corkage! The old bar, commercial kitchen and mature garden are at the heart of the building leaving the rest of the space entirely for you.

A member of the events team will be on site during the day to attend to venue related issues and ensure safe use of the property. A security guard will also be provided for the duration of the event. If you are hiring the venue at the weekend, access is included from the evening before.
