Set in the beautiful Dorset countryside is a hidden gem called The Victorian Barn, providing a wonderful idyllic setting for your wedding day. Originally built in 1849, The Victorian Barn has been carefully restored retaining many period features to create your dream wedding and accommodation venue.

Located in 65 acres of picturesque countryside, our wedding venue boasts beautiful barn conversions, cottages and lodges nestled in the heart of the scenic Thomas Hardy country. The Victorian Barns spacious 4* self-catering accommodation is perfect for any wedding or special event; we can help make your occasion one to remember!

When you book your wedding or civil ceremony at The Victorian Barn you will benefit from exclusive-use of the whole venue, including accommodation for 60+ guests. We offer flexible wedding packages to suit your requirements, from 1 or 2 night stays and beyond.

THE VENUE
Within the barn is The Osborne Hall where you can celebrate in style. The Osborne Hall is in the centre of The Victorian Barn and is licensed for 160 guests for a civil ceremony and seats up to 120 guests for a wedding breakfast, with up to 200 for an evening reception. The Osborne Hall is spacious, light, airy and adaptable, making it a totally bespoke venue for you. It has under floor heating, a dance floor, bar facilities and WC’s.

THE ACCOMMODATION
You and your guests can stay in the accommodation for one or two nights. The accommodation consists of king, double, triple and twin bedrooms with en-suite facilities and includes linen, towels, shared self-catering kitchen & lounge with complimentary tea & coffee on arrival, unlimited WiFi and use of the indoor heated swimming pool/gym/sauna/children’s play area.

We are located four miles south of Sturminster Newton between the villages of Woolland and Hazelbury Bryan, nestling under Bulbarrow Hill. Sturminster Newton is a traditional Dorset town, built up to serve the surrounding agricultural area of North Dorset. It stands halfway between Blandford Forum and Sherborne on the River Stour.
