Friendly Place - a beautiful 7,500 sq ft venue which was built in the 1930s as a spice warehouse. It is set in its own private road and spread over four floors including a 1,500 sq ft roof top terrace. Friendly Place has a wealth of industrial chic backdrops and includes a large kitchen area, a charmingly decaying conservatory, several huge studio spaces and a rock stars pad and boudoir.

Friendly Place is not licensed for civil ceremonies but there is plenty of space for a humanist or similar kind of ceremony that can be just as unique and meaningful. You can use and arrange to your liking any of the amazing furniture and props around the venue but we require that you put it back where it is found. Tables and chairs for a seated dinner would need to be hired. You can do this through your caterers. You have a blank canvas in which to decorate the venue exactly as you wish.

The big open, attractive commercial kitchen can be used for your wedding caterers to work in. We have a list of preferred caterers who know our venues well and do a great job with fantastic food. You are welcome to provide your own alcohol to supply to your guests. We do not charge corkage! The building also boasts full height roller shutter access, additional kitchenettes on each floor, ample parking and a cosy mature garden.

We have worked with many exceptional suppliers over the years who may be able to assist with various aspects of your event. Please ask our events manager if you need recommendations when planning your event. A member of our team will be on site throughout your big day to attend to venue related issues and ensure safe use of the property. We will also provide a security guard for the duration of the event.

If the venue is hired at the weekend for your wedding we include access the evening before from 6:30pm until 10:00pm.
