The Reading Room is an exclusive-use venue that provides a unique atmosphere and intimacy for your special day. Easily accessible, we are located close to the stunning North Norfolk Coast, an area of outstanding natural beauty, just 15 miles from the centre of Norwich.

A beautifully restored, historic building in the heart of the North Norfolk countryside, this unique and intimate venue will capture your heart and imagination and is exclusively yours for the day. With stunning stone leaded windows and vaulted ceilings, The Reading Room is a unique and magical place for you to celebrate your wedding day. Licensed for weddings and civil partnership ceremonies, the venue seats 80 guests inside or in the garden as part of a duo ceremony, with additional guests welcome for the evening.

We are ideally situated next to the ancient Church of St Ethelberts and just a stone’s throw from many other beautiful Norfolk Churches.

Our magnificent walled gardens, surround The Reading Room with an abundance of old English flowers rich with wildlife. A meandering path through the woods leads to a pergola walkway covered in fragrant roses and honeysuckle. The lawns provide a perfect space for welcome drinks and canapes followed by fun garden games or just to sit and relax in the afternoon sun.

As a family run wedding venue, we are passionate about creating your 'happily ever after'. Food plays a big part on the day and we want everything to be of the highest standard for you. We work closely with our selected Norfolk caterers who will create a bespoke menu from table feasts, afternoon teas and street food to formal dining, delivering a first-class service. Wedding hire includes use of the Bar with the option to supply your own drinks with no corkage charges!
