Situated in the glorious North Norfolk countryside, Bessingham Manor is an award-winning Victorian Manor House set in five acres of private grounds. The manor has been faithfully restored to create the elegant surroundings of a bygone era and it will be exclusively yours, for your bespoke wedding.

Our venue is fully licensed to hold civil ceremonies both indoors and outdoors to a maximum of 200. The Drawing Room can seat up to 80 guests for a formal sit down meal and if your numbers exceed this you have the option to hire a marquee or tipi, from a company of your choosing, to be erected within the grounds.

Bessingham Manor is decorated in beautiful Farrow and Ball colours and is adorned with cornicing, dado and picture rails, gorgeous light fittings, stained glass doors and beautiful cast iron Paladin radiators. That’s just to name some of the delightful features that await you. There is overnight accommodation for up to 25 guests and ample parking for your big day.

Bessingham Manor is set in four and a half acres mostly laid to grass with mature trees and a small area of woodland so there is lots of space to explore! The land is mostly surrounded by hedges, beyond which there is open parkland on three sides.

We operate on a venue-only basis giving you the freedom to have the wedding of your dreams. One of the best things about venue-only hire is that you do not pay corkage. You can bring in your own drinks – including bottled beers, wine and champagne and we will not charge you a fee to do so. We do have a list of trusted suppliers whom we are happy to recommend and you will have support and advice from our Venue Manager who will be present on the day of your wedding to ensure the civil ceremony runs to time and to direct any of your suppliers and guests as they arrive.

Bessingham is a beautiful small North Norfolk hamlet (approximately 40 homes, all of which were once owned by the Bessingham Estate) set in a conservation area well away from the typical tourist areas. It is not a thoroughfare, so it and the surrounding areas are amongst the most unspoilt and quiet areas of North Norfolk.
