The Pumping House is a beautiful Grade II listed Nottinghamshire wedding venue, featuring a licensed ceremony room, main hall for wedding breakfasts and accommodation for the wedding party and guests. This beautiful red brick building, still featuring the original and distinctive chimney, is located on a six-acre woodland site in the heart of Sherwood Forest.

The Pumping House is a mix of old meets new; maintaining a lot of its original features including the distinctive chimney and internal brickwork. It has been restored to add a new, cool and chic, unique industrial vibe that is like no other. With gorgeous attention to detail throughout, the venue features rooms for the ceremony and the wedding breakfast and an outdoor area for drinks receptions and photographs, meaning all your wedding needs are met in one place.

Set over two impressive floors, you can hold a civil ceremony in the Ollerton room with its old style chapel chairs and beautiful parquet flooring. You can then move between the hidden gems of this venue; its quirky little themed rooms which include the cinema room and the botanical ‘gin’ room to delight your guests!

The main engine hall with its 50 ft high glass ceiling, which once was the heart of the Pumping Station and housed the main engine, is now the heart of your wedding. Accommodating up to 150 for a sit down wedding breakfast, this space will then see you through to the evening reception with its own beautiful bar area and dance floor space.
