Originally used to house the calves for a dairy, The Cow Shed opened its doors as a wedding and events venue in 2016. Full of original features, character and with sea views across the Firth of Forth, The Cow Shed is located in a beautiful corner of Scotland with stunning beaches and traditional fishing villages. We are the perfect “blank canvas” venue, giving you have the freedom to add your own personality.

Whatever your style, we have it covered - from festival style to scandi chic, inside or outside, come rain or shine, The Cow Shed lets you create your own unique wedding. Whatever your requirements, we are very confident we can accommodate them. We have 3 fantastic indoor spaces which include The Steading Marquee, The Workshop and The Barn. Outside we have the courtyard and the patio area with a large lawn.

You can have exclusive-use of our venue which includes heating, basic lighting, toilets, wifi, PA system and a member of staff as your direct point of contact. We offer packages for exclusive-use hire of the whole venue for either 1 or 3 days or for smaller events we can hire out a part of our venue - just ask! Our professional team will be very happy to work with you to create a bespoke package to meet your exact needs. We have a list of preferred suppliers to help you and we are always delighted to help advise on caterers, bars, photographers, etc.

We have plenty of on site accommodation spread between nine cottages and two cow pads accommodating up to 46 people and just a short walk to our venue. This means you can enjoy having all the family together for the wedding preparations and the all important wedding debrief the day after.

The Cow Shed Crail is located in the beautiful East Neuk of Fife, Scotland, only 10 miles from St Andrews and close to numerous beautiful beaches and fishing villages and harbours.
