Springkell is a stunning Palladian Mansion dating from 1734 with the West and East Wings built in 1818. Having recently undergone a £2 million refurbishment, the house, with it's 14 bedrooms, is available for small intimate weddings or large exclusive use weddings. Just 2 miles from the M74, Springkell is private, peaceful and in a central location for anyone travelling.

The stunning Palladian mansion is set within picturesque gardens and surrounded by untouched woodland to provide the most spectacular backdrop for your big day. The impressive house and grounds offer many romantic settings for your photographs. This Scottish wedding venue is located in Dumfriesshire, just six miles from the famous and historic Gretna Green.

Our venue is licensed to hold religious, civil and Humanist weddings, same sex civil partnership ceremonies and wedding blessings both inside and outside the striking mansion house. Everything can be arranged for you, from accommodation to flowers and your dining requirements - we will do everything to make your day truly special. Brides and Grooms can arrange the suppliers if they like or Springkell can – whichever you prefer! At Springkell customisation is standard. We’re very flexible with what we can offer you.
Springkell has a number of elegant and sophisticated spaces for your celebrations. The Wedding Room has been beautifully finished to accommodate all themes and features a stunning Italian marble-framed mirror, fabulous décor and beautiful views across the gardens. Holding over 100 guests, our brides enter from the back of the room and walk down the aisle towards our stunning Italian marble mirror where the ceremony will take place.

Or in the warmer months, ceremonies can be conducted in the spacious gardens at Springkell (or do feel free to use the beautiful round garden), with the mansion providing a stunning backdrop.

When you spend the night at Springkell, you will be staying in a home from home with a touch of luxury. All of the bedrooms are beautifully decorated to provide a luxurious stay for your guests. For your first night of married life, the wonderful Honeymoon Suite is the perfect retreat. In addition, just 50 metres from the main house, there are two charming cottages. In total Springkell sleeps 28 in the house and 8 in the cottages making 36 in all.
