The Selgars Mill campus comprises a beautiful converted 19th-century mill house with a cottage and waggon, set in eight acres of meadows and woodland in the Culm valley in Mid Devon.

An enchanting venue where you are free to design your celebration over a day, a long weekend or a week, with exclusive use of the house and grounds at an affordable price.

The 18th-century mill house and permaculture gardens nestled on eight-acres of meadows and woodland, with five unique ceremony locations to choose from, provide a beautiful backdrop with lots of flexibility for you to create an event that truly represents you.

Selgars Mill offers a cosy and comfortable home away from home that can accommodate up to 25 guests in the house, cottage and waggon as well as an additional 50 campers/campervans. On your wedding day you can invite up to 150 guests.

We have a banqueting barn seating 75, with a stage and PA, that can be transformed into a dance hall. There is also ample space for marquees, giant tipis, tents, and stages on the grounds.

We’re a DIY wedding venue, but that doesn’t mean you’re on your own! Whether you’re working with a planner or going it alone, putting on a wedding is a big task.

We welcome visits to discuss your dreams and will do our best to help bring them to
life. We celebrate and support local independent businesses and can recommend some brilliant suppliers for your big day.

A blank canvas where you can let your imagination run wild. You can style your wedding to suit your personality. We just ask that you and your guests respect our eco-house rules: unnecessary waste, meat, disposables, and glitter are not permitted on site.

Hire our venue and choose your own suppliers to fit your budget. Our fees are straightforward and we don’t charge for corkage.

Suppliers - Free to choose any supplier you wish including caterers, as long as they fit our eco-guidelines. We’re happy to give you local recommendations.

We are a full vegetarian site. We can recommend local chefs or you are welcome to book your own catering.

The event barn is perfect for bands, and outdoor live music is permitted.

Accommodation facilities for up to 18 under one roof and more options on-site for additional guests, including the mill cottage, glamping and camping.

We have trestle tables, chairs, and tableware/crockery for up to 100 guests. All cutlery, plates, glasses are included in the site hire fee.
