Sedgewell Barn is tucked away on a family-run, working farm in the idyllic North Yorkshire countryside, close to the picturesque village of Ainderby Steeple with its historic church and traditional pub. Set within 60 acres of privately owned farmland, wedding couples have exclusive use of this rustic ‘blank-canvas’ venue and adjoining luxury glamping site.

This new, family-run wedding venue offers 2 stunning barns with fabulous views of the surrounding countryside and a beautifully landscaped courtyard area.

The smaller Rustic Barn can accommodate up to 80 seated guests for a ceremony and 60 for seated dining. If you fancy a larger celebration, the Big Barn can accommodate up to 200 guests.

Sedgewell Barn is licensed to hold legal ceremonies both indoors and outdoors. The venue is also perfect for a blessing, humanist or celebrant ceremony. For those wanting a wedding in the great outdoors you can have your ceremony within the picturesque glamping site in the grounds as 6 of the cabins located there are licensed for civil ceremonies.



After the formalities, celebrate with good food, fine wines and all your favourite people, then dance the night away in the Rustic Barn with spectacular lighting design... or, if you're having a larger gathering, there’s also the option of the Big Barn.

And why not spend the first night of married life in your luxury, glamping, honeymoon suite and enjoy the privacy of your own fairy-lit hot tub complete with stylish timber canopy. There are 11 luxury, en-suite, glamping cabins for the wedding couple and up to 41 of their guests to enjoy exclusively. These luxury Wigwam® Cabins are tucked away in a secluded and quiet part of the idyllic farm, making it easy for you to relax in peace and quiet. One of the cabins also has accessible features. There is plenty of excellent local accommodation near by if any of your guests would prefer it.
