In a secluded garden, like a secret hideaway, nestles a spacious and pretty marquee surrounded by willows and mature trees. It is a romantic, traditional marquee with a long window looking onto fields and the garden. Rectory Farm Weddings is the ideal setting for your perfect country wedding - just two miles from the illustrious Kings College Chapel, the famed city of Cambridge, punting on the river Cam and the world-famous Cambridge colleges.

Rectory marquee is located on the edge of this ancient city and yet is surrounded by fields and gardens. Our traditional, pristine marquee is constructed every year. It is situated in a glorious English garden with borders of roses, hollyhocks, honeysuckle and lavender. Weeping willows border the marquee. The canvas facade, cream interior, majestic Venetian chandeliers and twinkling dance-floor provide a neutral colour scheme on which you can put your personal stamp.

Hold your civil ceremony at Rectory Farm where the City Registrar will conduct the legal celebration sealing your marriage. The ceremony is held in the traditionally styled ‘Folly’ with Norfolk Reed thatch from local reed beds. Sunny days allow guests to be seated on the lawn while our Pavilion ensures cover from wind and rain in the event of a summer shower. The House is licensed for smaller groups of approximately 50.

After your ceremony, access to the marquee is by a ‘secret’ covered walkway that ensures cover in the event of wind and rain as it weaves its way through flower borders and shrubs.

The lawn, garden and marquee are an enchanting setting for parties and celebrations of all kinds including every type of wedding, large or small. The lawn and garden make a wonderful setting for reception drinks and a gentle game of croquet. As dusk falls, the garden lights up, changing the mood for your evening party, while tiny lights in the canopy of the reception area provide illuminated cover in a more sheltered area.

Inside the House, the bridal suite, included in the package, provides a romantic setting for your wedding night. A beautiful, large, light and spacious room with king size bed and huge bay window with views over the carefully tended gardens. The suite is also a wonderful room for the bride to get ready on the morning of the wedding with dressing and sitting areas, and space for your bridesmaids and entourage. There are fantastic photo opportunities within the suite and gardens. The House and chalet buildings provide accommodation for your guests.
