The Watermill and The Tythe Barn are totally different and yet equally magnificent, offering either an intimate unique wedding or a majestic celebration for all your friends and family. Choose between the historic Watermill and the memorable eighteenth century Tythe Barn to host your big day. Each is set in their own distinctive and attractive gardens.

The Watermill
The Watermill is the perfect spot for a more intimate gathering. Given by King Athelstan to the monks of Bath Abbey in the tenth century, the Watermill is an enchanting and ancient building, quite simply the kind of location people dream of. You will be captivated by the picturesque private gardens and the grand panorama of the rolling countryside beyond. A small brook runs beside the gardens, with wooden seating arranged on manicured lawns, an attractive pagoda, ideal for outdoor wedding ceremonies and a wonderful pergola.

When you hold your wedding at the Watermill, the building is exclusively yours. As you step through the historic doorway, you will be greeted by the gentle, rumbling sounds of the ancient waterwheel and the spectacular rotating gears and cogs, still working to this day. The three floors of the Watermill are easily accessed by stairs or lift. We are able to offer ceremonies outside for 50-90 of your closest friends. Extend your guests list to up to 130 for an evening reception to remember. Steeped in history, it is a fascinating and unique setting for a wedding.

The Tythe Barn
Your first glimpse of the majestic Tythe Barn will take your breath away. Here you step back in to a bygone age. Surrounded on three sides by ancient stone walled buildings, a small brook completes the boundary of the gardens. Follow the meandering pathway, lined with English lavender, as you take your first steps to a married life together. Walk into the main reception area with its exposed brick walls and spectacular 15m high vaulted roof creating a large space filled with light. Here we can greet 70-150 of your guests for the ceremony and wedding breakfast and up to 200 for the evening reception. With a cosy fire away from the dancefloor and another lounge area on the balcony overlooking the main floor, there is a space for everyone.

Priston Mill gardens are our pride and joy, second only to our chefs and the incredible menus we are able to offer. By keeping all catering in-house we immediately relieve such a stress and guarantee that you and your guests will be well fed and watered.
