Nether Winchendon House is a stunningly romantic, medieval and tudor, Grade 1 listed country manor house, set in 7 acres of tranquil gardens and surrounded by 600 acres of parkland on the Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire border. Breathtakingly romantic and enchanting, this is an exclusive use wedding venue with a Countryside Wedding Barn ​and exquisite lawns for a marquee.

Nether Winchendon House is a fabulous venue for wonderful photographs and a truly romantic wedding reception with three unique Marquee Lawn Locations as well as our utterly charming Carriage Barn to choose from. We are able to host smaller as well as very large celebrations. Your wedding day here will be unique to you; you and your guests can experience a day that you will never forget.

You can choose to hold your wedding ceremony either in the lovely village Church of St. Nicholas, which is just a 2 minute walk from the house, or by having an ‘Exchange of Rings and Vows Ceremony’ here in the grounds, under the trees or on one of our glamorous lawns. Once you have chosen your perfect ceremony location here, the next step is to do the ‘legal’ part at an official registry office, prior to your wedding day.



The Carriage Barn is perfect for up to 85 dining guests or, with a marquee extension, for up to 140 dining guests, with a total of up to 160 guests during the evening. More intimate receptions where there are 40 dining guests or less are also lovely at The Carriage Barn. The Carriage Barn doors open directly on to the Bridal Garden.

If you would rather have your wedding reception in a marquee, we have three unique locations, within the gardens, to choose from – The Walled Garden, The East Lawn or The South Lawn. We are able to host receptions and parties for up to 450 guests in a marquee.

And once the celebrations come to an end, we are delighted to be able to offer our bridal parties the choice to stay here if they wish. All of our unique bedrooms have luxury Vi-Spring or Hypnos beds, so you can be certain to make the most of any precious sleep you get when so much excitement is happening all around you.
