Mount Ephraim Country House and Gardens is a privately owned family home offering a unique, classically romantic venue for your wedding. From the spectacular views of the gardens and estate, to the late-Victorian manor house sitting at the top of the hill, we can offer you a memorable experience to make your big day extra special. We’ve been inviting couples to celebrate their ceremonies and wedding receptions here for over 20 years and have loved seeing their individual ideas come together.

Mount Ephraim is a beautiful estate located in the heart of the Kent countryside. For over 300 years the Dawes family have lovingly cared for the house and gardens and today they present one of the most breathtaking spots in the south-east of England. 10 acres of classical gardens lying within an 800 acre farm with stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

We can accommodate ceremonies of up to 175 people in the house or 100 people in the garden. For a reception in the house we offer wedding breakfasts for up to 100, with room for a total of 175 evening guests or for a marquee reception in our beautiful gardens we can accommodate over 250 guests.

You’ll have exclusive use of the house on your wedding day and we will allow you access to the house on the day before and on the day after for a less rushed, more intimate experience. At Mount Ephraim you can relax, take your time and enjoy your moment.

We can create a completely bespoke package for your wedding day including the venue hire and accommodation and all of the food and drink. Our exclusive food and drink partner, Scott Anderson, has developed an extensive menu for you to choose from using high quality and seasonal produce offering you plenty of choice. They will also offer great service on the day and all of the support you'll need leading up to your wedding day. Plus, we can help provide recommended suppliers, from florists, marquees, to music and everything else in between to help make your day truly special.

We offer a spectacular Wedding Suite, plus four double B&B guest rooms so you and your select guests can wake up to the stunning views and setting, and enjoy breakfast together. Our new self-catering Garden Wing, sleeping 12, is also available for private hire so your wedding party can enjoy exclusivity and celebrate in style.

Only an hour away from London, we are a very short drive from Canterbury, Faversham, Sittingbourne and Whitstable and offer something unlike anything else in the area.
