Or you may opt for the pretty bandstand, situated on the front lawn and draped by ancient trees which in turn create a soft cover of dappled shade - ideal for those hot summer days.

If you would prefer a religious ceremony, St Michaels Church (our very own candlelit Saxon Church) is only walking distance from the house.

Maunsel House is filled with secret passages, rooms and hidden staircases that we keep finding. In fact, just recently we found a hidden Priest Hole!

Accommodation at Maunsel House is a unique experience, with 13 ravishing bedrooms full of charm and character (many complete with four poster beds); it is the perfect way to relax and end your perfect day in Taunton. Our newly renovated South Wing contains a further 4 bedrooms at ground level a few feet away from the house.

There are 5 self-catering cottages within the estate, available to hire for accommodation and locally we can recommend a number of great hotels, B&B’s and self catering cottages for larger parties.
