With its outline reflected in the encircling moat, Markenfield provides a wonderfully intimate venue for a wedding.

Markenfield Hall is a unique and beautiful venue for a small wedding. Unlike many others, this fabulous wedding venue does not offer a fixed price package. Because of the intimate nature of the Hall and the guarantee that yours will be the only wedding here on the day, they are able to tailor your day to your needs. Because it is a private home a lot of trouble is taken to ensure you have everything you want.

Markenfield has a variety of rooms of differing sizes – from the Vaulted Study that can seat eight guests for the most intimate Wedding Ceremony, to the Great Hall that can seat 35 for a majestic wedding breakfast. Any or all of them are available by arrangement to make your wedding a day to remember. They can also offer their own private chapel, the gardens within the moat, the black swans who will probably visit you in the orchard and the cows from the farm often peering across the moat fence to see what’s going on; the team at Markenfield Hall can tailor a bespoke day that will live in your memories forever.

Markenfield is uniquely placed in having a Chapel at its heart. The Chapel is available for a Service of Blessing after the Civil Ceremony, allowing The Church to bless the marriage.

All wedding catering at the Hall is carried out by The Dusty Miller Caterers. They have a very personal approach to catering – they will meet with you, either at Markenfield or at a place of your choice, to discuss your ideas; your likes, your dislikes, your budget and the season in which your big day will be held. The wedding breakfast is a time for guests to relax and simply enjoy the surroundings of the Hall. The wedding breakfast can be held in one of two rooms – the cosy surroundings of the Undercroft with its low ceiling and roaring fire or the baronial splendor of the Great Hall under the watchful gaze of 3rd Lord Grantley.

Markenfield are incredibly lucky to have worked with some of the best wedding suppliers and service providers in the business. Whilst you are more than welcome to bring your own florist, photographer or wedding car they are more than happy to recommend some trusted suppliers based on previous experiences.
