The Horniman Museum and Gardens is a unique and beautiful location in London, set in over 16 acres of gardens, with breathtaking views across the London skyline. These are complemented by 16 acres of beautiful gardens which feature a Butterfly House and stunning views across the London skyline. The gardens are also home to the three unique venues which are available for private hire: the Conservatory, the Pavilion and the Bandstand.

The elegant Grade II listed Victorian Conservatory provides a large, bright, open space that is perfect for weddings, receptions and other special occasions. The cast iron and glass structure was originally built by the Horniman family in 1894 and has recently been enhanced with modern interior lighting and heating underneath a beautiful new tiled floor. The Conservatory stands within a stylish private terrace next to the Museum with easy access to the gardens.

The Pavilion is located in a quiet corner of the Horniman Gardens. It is a relaxed and contemporary space that is ideal for receptions and parties. The venue’s floor to ceiling windows open up to give full access to a large private terrace with stunning views.

The Bandstand, with its picturesque setting overlooking the Horniman Gardens and with the London skyline in the background, is a delightful location for intimate celebrations. The Bandstand has recently been restored to show-off its original Victorian features.

A range of delicious food and drink options are available with all venue hire at the Horniman. For catering at seated dinners and for bespoke menus the event team work exclusively with an Approved Caterers List which can be sent on request.
