Folly Farm is an environmentally sustainable, countryside wedding venue nestled in the heart of a 250 acre ancient woodland nature reserve, offering relaxed, fun and personal weddings with unrivalled flexibility. Owned by Avon Wildlife Trust, all our profits are donated back to the charity, so booking your wedding with us helps with local nature and wildlife conservation in the Bath and Bristol area.

As one of Somerset's hidden gems, Folly Farm offers peaceful seclusion and breathtaking views across Chew Valley Lake and the Mendip Hills and is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Surrounded by wildlife and ancient woodlands, Folly Farm is perfect in every season; from the carpets of spring bluebells and the wildflower meadows of summer, to the golden tones of autumn and the dramatic winter skies, the backdrop for your day (and your photographs) is sure to be beautiful.

Folly Farm can cater for smaller, intimate weddings from 15 guests or larger gatherings up to 150. All weddings at Folly Farm include exclusive-use of the entire venue, including the 18th Century farm buildings, for a unique and completely private celebration. With 5 licensed ceremony spaces, you can choose to hold your ceremony in the charming oak-beamed converted barn, the traditional Old Dairy or the Glass Atrium filled with natural light. Alternatively, you can choose to say 'I do' outside, overlooking Chew Valley Lake or beneath the apple trees in the orchard.

Our in-house caterers will expertly tailor menus to suit a variety of budgets and tastes, from a traditional three-course meal to a hog roast and everything in between. Our kitchen uses local ingredients all year round. Our rural location means delicious seasonal produce is in abundance for your wedding breakfast. Where possible we also use organic ingredients and can cater for all dietary requirements. Folly Farm is fully licensed, with local beers, ciders and spirits to complement the bubbly!

The comfortable, country-style accommodation can sleep up to 49 guests in a combination of Farmhouse and Studio bedrooms and in the warmer months, additional guests have the option of camping in the paddock (on request). The happy couple can spend the first night of married life in our bridal studio room or, for the ultimate West Country wedding, a bell tent can be hired for a night of glamping beneath the stars!

Folly Farm Centre is a subsidiary of Avon Wildlife Trust. Everything we do is focused on protecting the environment, while inspiring you to enjoy nature. The Folly Farm Centre is housed in a set of carefully restored farm buildings with eco features including biomass heating and solar energy. Wastewater is broken down naturally by a reed bed sewage system and we harvest rainwater from the rooftops. All paper products are 100% recycled and all cleaning products are eco-friendly.
