Coltsford Mill offers the best of a classic country barn wedding with an elegant contemporary finish, bathed in natural light with panoramic views of our 12 acres of beautiful countryside, two stunning lakes and flowing cascades fed by the River Eden. This peaceful, waterside landscape is wonderful for romantic wedding photographs.

Panoramic windows and doors overlook the tranquil gardens and cascades allowing the natural light to flood in. Your guests can enjoy your drinks reception on our fully covered terrace area overlooking the ornamental gardens and water features whilst your photographer captures all your memories throughout the day and evening. Wedding receptions are something of a specialty at Coltsford Mill and we pride ourselves on helping to make the day a truly memorable occasion.

Working with the best quality, fresh ingredients, and using local suppliers and seasonal products where possible, the food is simple, fresh and flexible offering outstanding value. Our team work closely with our clients to design their perfect, unique menu.

The Watermill Barn at Coltsford Mill comfortably seats up to 150 guests for dining (tables and chairs are provided) and up to 200 guests for your evening reception. The Barn is also licensed for civil wedding or partnership ceremonies for up to 150 guests. The Bar adjoining The Watermill Barn has a comfortable seating area ideal for older guests who may wish to retire to a quieter area later on.

The Mill Room is a unique setting for your civil ceremony or partnership and is licensed for up to 95 guests. The original 17th Century mill workings are illuminated behind glass to create a stunning backdrop for your exchange of vows.

The Bridal Cottage is your home-from-home on the day and evening of your wedding and provides overnight accommodation for the newlyweds. It has plenty of space for your bridal party to relax and enjoy the morning before your ceremony.
