Gildings Barns offer the ultimate romantic wedding venue in a quiet and beautiful rustic setting. The interconnecting traditional oak-framed barns create an enchanting and unique atmosphere and are set in tranquil Surrey countryside just 6 miles south of Dorking, yet surrounded by open fields lined with mature woodland.

There are three main structures at Gildings; the Gildings Barn, the Threshing Barn, and the Side Barn. These beautiful oak-framed structures reveal themselves in intriguing stages, eventually leading out to the expansive lawn, the Granary and adjoining open farmland.

Both the main Gildings Barn and The Granary in the garden are licensed buildings. The Granary is perfect when the sun is shining and guests can be seated outside. The main barn provides flexibility for accommodating up to 110 people inside if you prefer, or if the weather is unfavourable. The Side Barn is used as the Registrars' room for your interviews with them just prior to the ceremony taking place.

The Threshing Barn houses a collection of vintage agricultural tools and equipment, typical of those used in the era in which it was built and our restored horse-drawn farm wagons can provide wonderful photo backdrops.

We offer exclusive hire of the barns on a maximum of two days per week. We hire out Gildings on only a limited number of dates for weddings each year. This enables us to offer you the opportunity to set up the day before. You can decorate Gildings entirely to suit your taste and organise your event as you wish. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor space, providing lots of scope for fun and creativity.
