Alpheton Hall Barns are part of an ancient settlement comprising Alpheton Hall and the Church of St Peter & St Paul, Alpheton, all set in meadows and woodland at the end of a no through road. If you are looking for a dream Barn wedding with the option of a woodland ceremony too, just add friends, family, your choice of food and drink and personal touches for your perfect day.

Two magnificent timber frame Barns offer a beautiful backdrop to your day with all the space and equipment you need. Think honey coloured beams with soft lime plaster walls, silky drapes, vintage ladder and ironwork lights which can be decorated with flowers and foliage, twinkly fairy lights and big Barn doors which open up to the landscape.

The West Barn (Ceremony) and South Barn (Reception) are separate but linked and include tables and chairs, hi-tech lighting and sound systems for your reception, a caterers kitchen, bar kitchen and smart WC's. The South Barn allows you to seat up to 200 guests (or can be configured for much smaller weddings) for your wedding breakfast with space for a bar (bar furniture provided), band or DJ and dancing without moving tables and chairs. Perfect for allowing your guests to sit and chat at the table, grab a drink or dance whilst all being in the same sociable space.

Outside spaces for you and your guests to enjoy include the Confetti Arboretum, Stackyard Wedding Garden (for your drinks reception), Barn's Courtyard with built in pizza oven for your evening food and space for Food / Coffee trucks and in the warmer months the option to have your Ceremony in the enchanting Woodland Ceremony glade. The couple and their photographer / videographer are also free to roam through approx. 25 acres of garden and woodland to grab the best light and backdrop for your photographs.

Both the Barns and the Woodland Ceremony glade are licenced for civil ceremonies but there is also the option of the adjacent Church subject to qualifying criteria and we welcome faith or celebrant led ceremonies too.

The Barns are easily accessible with couples from London, Essex, Suffolk and Hertfordshire (and further afield) choosing to celebrate here. Whilst there is no accommodation on site there is a great choice of good Hotels & B&Bs nearby to suit all budgets. There is plenty of parking on site as well as coach / bus turning space.

If you are looking to create a truly personal wedding, whilst there is a list of suppliers who are regulars to the Barns you are free to choose your own (subject to approval) and will have access to the Barns from 12 noon the day before to set up your decorations (and until 12 noon the day after to collect) allowing you to time to relax before day and enjoy your morning preparations.
