A background of farming, nature and the arts has formed Whitminster House into what we see today. The manor dates from Saxon times and is mentioned in The Domesday Book. Set within 10 acres of beautiful grounds, Whitminster House offers a perfect, exclusive location for full weekend weddings and self-catered family celebrations.

Whitminster offers a variety of options for your wedding ceremony. The closest church is St Andrews, Whitminster (Anglican), just 200 yards from Whitminster House along the Yew Walk. This historic church is set in a scenic grove surrounded by open countryside and offers complete peace and privacy. The church seats 120 guests. There are several other churches and registry offices nearby.

You are welcome to bring in your own suppliers if you wish, or we will be delighted to recommend a range of tried and tested caterers, florists, music, entertainments etc. if you wish, plus we have a friendly professional photographer who is brilliant at capturing all the best memories for you to enjoy for the rest of your life.

All wedding receptions at Whitminster House now include the West Wing, Old Stables, Harness Rooms and Lodge Cottage to guarantee complete exclusivity and ample parking for your unique event. These buildings provide self-catering accommodation for 22-24 close family and friends over the FULL WEEKEND from 4pm on Friday through to Sunday evening or 10am on Monday. We also offer the immediate bridal party an early arrival on Thursday pm at no extra charge if they would like this option.

All remaining cottages on the Whitminster House Estate can also be booked by the bridal party subject to availability. In total, Whitminster House Cottages can accommodate up to 54 guests. In addition, there is the option for a few yurts or bell tents to be pitched within the grounds for additional guests at a small extra charge.

Situated close to Cheltenham and Gloucester and with easy access to Bath and Bristol, Whitminster House is just a short journey for many of your guests. There are several through trains from London daily - the nearest mainline train station is Stonehouse which is just 4 miles or a 10 minute drive away.
