Walcot Hall is a Grade II listed Georgian Hall. Built in 1726, the house is beautifully situated on five acres of wonderfully landscaped formal gardens within twenty-seven acres of parkland in the North Lincolnshire countryside, assuring you of complete exclusivity for your special day. We can offer a choice of five designated outdoor areas for your wedding.
For a wedding held in the house, civil ceremonies can be enjoyed within the ceremony room and weddings within the hall space. After getting married, champagne and canapés can then be served in the garden or in the Drawing Room with a roaring log fire, followed by a wedding breakfast in the Dining Room.
For marquee weddings, following the ceremony in the hall, or in one of our five designated outdoor ceremony areas or after arrival from a Church, a champagne and canapé reception can be enjoyed in the stunning Fountain Garden whilst photographs are taken. The celebration then continues as the newly-weds and their guests follow the pretty candle lit pathway over the Ha Ha by way of the fairy-lit bridge to enter the luxurious marquee for the wedding breakfast and evening celebration including dancing under the starry sky. Our extendable marquee means we can cater from 80 to 400 people from May to October. The marquee is fully equipped with a luxurious dance floor and a well-stocked bar.
For an outdoor wedding, you have the choice of five ceremony areas:
Firstly, the Enchanted Forest is just the most gorgeous little forest with a peaceful glade inside to get married in - a canopy of trees naturally covers this beautiful clearing making it a truly romantic and unusual place to tie the knot.
Secondly, why not get married in our Secret Garden? A stunning place situated in the old walled garden. Get married underneath a beautiful wooden arch covered in flowers.
Thirdly, you might prefer to choose The Fountain Terrace which has proven to be our most popular choice for outdoor weddings as the bride can make her big entrance through Narnia Walk. Then she can walk up the aisle to get married on a raised stone platform just outside the architecturally charming conservatory.
Fourthly, Narnia Woods is just heavenly for getting married in too. Here you will find our massive 300-year old oak tree, covered in ivy and strategically wrapped in fairy lights. Get married underneath its beautiful mantle for a wedding ceremony unlike any other. Additionally, should you require, Walcot Hall Estate does actually own a white Arab pony that looks just like a unicorn with her little headdress on. Again, a real fairy-tale romantic choice.
Finally, we welcome you to get married in our fifth designated outdoor area the Woodland Orchard area. Imagine beautiful apple, plum and pear trees as your backdrop. This is perfect for a most natural of settings, at one entirely with nature and the outdoors.
Once the celebrations are over, you and eight of your guests can retire to our luxurious accommodation within the main house. The five bedroom accommodation wing sleeps ten and is situated on the first and second floors accessed by a grand sweeping staircase. The bedrooms are characterised by high ceilings and large sash windows, filling the room with light and overlooking the beautifully manicured majestic lawns.
