The West Usk Lighthouse is a cosy wedding venue (voted best in the region) situated near the City of Newport, Gwent, at the junction of the Severn and the Usk estuaries overlooking the Bristol Channel. Featuring superb views of the River Severn and the Welsh hills, we can accommodate larger wedding parties in our beautiful marquee which can cater for up to 100 guests.

The West Usk Lighthouse is a Grade ll Listed building that was built in 1821 by Scottish architect, James Walker. The Lighthouse was on its own island up until 1856 when the land was reclaimed around it and a road was built. It served as a real lighthouse warning ships right up until 1922 when it was decommissioned.

Situated in Newport Gwent with panoramic views of the sea and countryside, we are currently licensed for small weddings for up to 25 guests inside the lighthouse. Larger weddings can take place in our marquee that can seat 80-100 people. Your ceremony can be held in either the Wedding Room, Entrance Hall (only up to 10 guests), on the Roof Garden with its fantastic views or outside along the sea wall and garden (weather permitting).

We are a DIY wedding venue which allows our couples to plan their perfect big day. Our weddings here can be like a mini festival; we allow fireworks, fire ceremonies, live bands, DJs and even a late finish if it is required. You can provide your own caterers, drinks, entertainment...... we provide the venue.
