The Venue Bowers Mill is a lovingly restored historic wedding venue located in the heart of the picturesque Yorkshire countryside in Halifax, West Yorkshire. Previously a former textile woollen mill, this family-owned property is surrounded by woodland and sits in front of a lake. The mill is conveniently located within easy reach of Halifax, Huddersfield, Leeds, and Manchester.

Facilities and Capacity

Couples are offered flexibility and choice for their ceremony setup at The Venue Bowers Mill. Bowers, originally the carding and weaving room, can hold up to 400 guests, however this space can also be divided to create a more intimate setting, by utilising our draping system, which allows guests to experience a 'reveal' of their Wedding reception.

The Spinning Room overlooks the rooftops of the mill and has capacity for 120 guests for a Wedding ceremony, or can accommodate up to 100 guests seated for a Wedding reception.

Couples can also choose an outdoor ceremony, and say "I do" under the pagoda overlooking the lake. The space has been renovated, giving a nod to its original mill heritage. Stripped wooden floors, high ceilings, exposed brickwork, and wrought iron pillars make it the perfect setting for an industrial chic wedding. Along with its stylish interior, this venue is surrounded by breath taking scenery, with a woodland backdrop and a lakeside setting creating the perfect background for photographs.
