The Old Kent Barn is set in an idyllic rural location. We have 2 buildings - a purpose built 110ft oak-framed barn (for indoor weddings and wedding receptions) and the original barn (for Guest Accommodation) built over 225 years ago. The barns are set in manicured landscaped grounds and are surrounded by picturesque Kent countryside making it the perfect backdrop to say ‘I Do’.

The 2 ½ acre gardens, with formal parterres, are planted with romantic roses, sweeping curved hedges and an informal lake garden with a lit fountain all set against a backdrop of mature trees. Dedicated gardeners are here on a daily basis.

The paved seating area for outdoor ceremonies has a rose and wisteria covered aisle along with a canopy to shelter up to 150 guests. Both indoor and outdoor ceremony areas have a high quality sound system so all your guests can hear the ceremony clearly.

Atmospheric up-lights and fairy lights have been placed throughout the grounds, so guests can enjoy their surroundings in the evening.

Our location in the beautiful Garden of England allows our chef to pick the best seasonal, local produce, the highest quality meat and the finest sustainably sourced fish. We take pride in ensuring every dish is thoughtfully created, freshly prepared and beautifully presented.

The Old Kent Barn is licensed to serve pre reception and reception drinks and our bar is fully staffed and licensed to serve drinks from when guests arrive until 11.30pm on the day of your wedding. The bar service is included in our venue hire price.

Of course, The Old Kent Barn has always been an LGBT friendly venue and is experienced at working with different cultures and people with disabilities.
