About

The Brewery is a premier wedding venue in the City of London, with the emphasis on personality and originality, occupying the site of the former Whitbread brewery. The Brewery operates in the same high-class, exquisite manner that saw Whitbread's brewery rise to become the crown jewel of London.

The Brewery prides itself on offering a unique, versatile environment to accommodate all of our guests' wishes. Whitbread brewery may have shut its doors in 1976 but its historic roots and traditions live on in this high-class venue, ensuring The Brewery remains the entertainment capital of London.

This famous space offers a wide range of rooms for your wedding. The Porter Tun is one of the largest and oldest unobstructed event spaces in London. An exposed King Post timber roof gives a clear span of 60ft above a 778 square metre antique wooden floor making it a perfect location for larger wedding parties looking to host the whole wedding in one room. The large raised balcony is ideal for a reception area allowing for a grand reveal to your wedding breakfast on the main floor.

You will also be given exclusive access to the Malt Room, a small private space, which can be used by you throughout the day. Meanwhile, The King George III Room (named after his visit in 1787) has exposed brickwork, a barrel vaulted ceiling and period lanterns. A part of the royal couple, The Queen Charlotte Room features a built in bar, hidden behind a mirrored window.

The Sugar Rooms are two distinctive, bright rooms connected by their own private staircase. This was where the brewing sugar was stored, and these rooms have natural daylight through elegant feature Georgian windows that overlook the courtyard.

The Smeaton Vaults provide an interesting, private space for parties of around 100. Copper pipes around the walls and the original iron walkway reveal their brewing past but in reality these rooms couldn’t be more modern.

The Brewery is one of London's most unique venues, and with a fascinating history, there's no better place to choose to say 'I do'.
