Nestled amongst rolling Welsh hills, a stone’s throw from beautiful Llangorse Lake, is Tall John's House, a Georgian Manor House and grounds with exquisite views across to the Black Mountains. We have lovingly restored and rejuvenated our beautiful stone barn to make the perfect space for you to create the wedding of your dreams.

The barn is a blank canvas venue - it is yours to style as you wish, to create a space that is personal, individual and unique to you. We know every bride is different, every couple is unique and your wedding day should reflect that. To help you create the wedding day you have both dreamed of, we offer you the chance to make the barn your own - your friends, your family, your style.

The icing on the (wedding) cake is that as well as the use of our beautiful barn, you have access to to the enchanting, private courtyard behind the barn. The enclosed courtyard has an attractive wooden pergola over the paved floor and has a transparent rain cover just in case of overcast days.

On the day of your wedding you will also have the use of the exquisite grounds at Tall John's House, including the stunning walled garden with its rose bower, rill and double swing. This is the ideal setting for pre-dinner drinks and wedding photographs.

Originally a Welsh long house, Tall John’s House was subsequently shaped by British naval history. In 1588 the Manor House was created to celebrate the victory of the Spanish Armada. The house is still in the Watson family’s possession and now has all the comforts of the 21st century but has kept its character from the past six hundred years.

We are delighted to offer you your own exclusive and private Georgian Manor House, decorated and furnished to a high standard. The Manor House, along with our adjoining Stables and Saddlers, can comfortably sleep up to 27 people. Use of the Manor House is optional and can either be hired exclusively or on a B&B basis. We also have 2 self catering cottages on site (Coachman's sleeps 2, Honeysuckle Cottage sleeps 8).
