About

Historic Country House Wedding Venue in Oxfordshire

Possibly the most beautiful setting of any house in England' - the late Lord Gibson, Chairman of the National Trust.

Stonor Park is a historic country house and private deer park situated in a dramatic, sweeping valley deep within the heart of the Chiltern Hills at Stonor, about four miles north of Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire. An exclusive use wedding venue, it features its own private Catholic chapel.

Home to the Stonor family for over 850 years, Stonor Park is one of the oldest family homes still lived in today. Steeped in family history, the original Chapel of the Holy Trinity was built in the late 13th Century.

One of the greatest advantages of Stonor Park as a wedding venue is the sheer choice of locations throughout the park. Ranging from the 17th century formal Lawns and gardens close to the house, to 'The Hilltop', a wonderful, fun location which provides one of the most romantic views across the Chiltern Hills. 'The Hilltop' is a perfect site for Woodland Weddings.

Over many years as a wedding venue we have worked with a great number of partners and our preferred suppliers have been chosen based on their experience and flexibility.

On-site accommodation is available through our marquee partners who offer the opportunity to set up fully-furnished luxury Teepee tents in the grounds at Stonor. There are plenty more options throughout Stonor and Henley for you and your guests to consider.

For over 850 years the house and gardens have been host to celebrations and weddings for family and friends, making it the ideal venue for your perfect day.

Less than an hour from London, Stonor Park provides an idyllic setting for your wedding.
