We offer intimate Winter Weddings, with smaller celebrations adding an element of warmth and comfort, especially while you escape the chilly temperatures to celebrate a very special day. The beautiful manicured grounds at Shieldhill Castle are nothing short of picture perfect when covered by the soft, powdery snow glistening in the winter sunlight.

Picturesque wedding ceremonies can take place in the Castle’s 16th-century chapel. A staple of Scottish tradition and family heritage, this quaint space allows you to exchange your vows in front of up to 150 seated guests.

After your ceremony you and your guests can choose amongst the array of options available. Tinto View dining room and our Alexander Lounge could offer you a more intimate wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast, both complete with large bay windows and panoramic views of the Castle grounds and beautiful landscape. Larger receptions can take place in our expansive marquee, with space for 150 seated guests for your wedding breakfast and 200 persons in the evening.

Once the celebrations wind down you and your newlywed can retire to the Luxury Honeymoon Suite. Featuring a four-poster bed, Jacuzzi spa facilities and views of Lanarkshire's magnificent rolling hills, the suite offers complete relaxation. We can provide overnight accommodation for your extended wedding party, with 15 newly refurbished Castle rooms, accommodation within the Courtyard Stable Lodges and our Scadinavian Cosy Cabins.
