Nuroosa- the Gathering Place is a new design-led sustainable venue in South Derbyshire. Surrounded by nature, with indoor and outdoor reception and licensed ceremony spaces. Our weddings are Exclusive, with a catering kitchen and in-house bar and green car park. Our unique setting, designed to allow biodiversity to thrive, and biophilic design brings the outdoors inside.

Nuroosa was designed by two nurses using a collaborative approach, on the site of a POW camp. We are regenerating the site and creating a balance between wild and tamed spaces, allowing biodiversity to thrive. Wild flowers dance on our roof, our carpark is Green, a crop of eucalyptus trees hug the venue, and these will be used to heat the venue, we have planted for year-round interest, and have a beautiful natural swimming pool. Nuroosa will be a business that does good. We are accredited members of the Sustainable Wedding Alliance and working towards B Corp certification.

We have a little green book of Caterers and florists, and our on-the-day wedding coordination will be with That Black and White Cat weddings. Inside, we can seat 100 for a wedding Feast, and host 120 for an evening reception. nuroosa has three rooms: The Canteen, The Breezeway, The Green, easily turning into one or two rooms, and space outside for street food vans. We have space for 50+ cars in our Green Car Park. Our in-house bar will offer local, sustainable, and firm favourites. Couples will be able to get married in our indoor and outdoor spaces. We are within easy reach of Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Birmingham, and Burton-on-Trent, conveniently located near the M1, A50, A52, East Midlands Airport, and major train stations including Derby and Willington.
