Welcome to Merchant Taylors’ Hall, a unique and inspiring wedding venue. Our beautiful, historic building is nestled in the heart of the City of London, yet as your guests step through the door they will feel like they’ve been transported to a different world. We have nine stunning spaces including a pretty Courtyard Garden which we can help you transform to provide the perfect setting for your wedding.

We are able to host civil ceremonies in our Drawing Room, Parlour and Great Hall. With ample space and character, the venue allows you to celebrate your special day under one roof. Our Great Hall dates back to the 14th Century and can cater for large numbers. Its 13-metre high ceiling and 3-metre high windows give the room a fabulous sense of space and occasion.

We also have smaller rooms like the Parlour and the Drawing Room for more intimate wedding receptions. Most couples incorporate our stunning Courtyard Garden into their wedding day, often for pre-wedding breakfast drinks or for their wedding photos.

You are able to bring in suppliers of your choice providing they meet our health and safety requirements in advance. Or we have a list of trusted suppliers that we can recommend to you such as florists and photographers. We don’t however allow external catering companies to cater at the venue. Our kitchens have been producing amazing food for 500 years, so you can trust that every mouthful of every canape, starter, main and dessert will impress even the most discerning of palettes. The Merchant Taylors’ chefs are perfectionists. They will work with you and the Events Team to select the ideal freshly prepared menu for your occasion.
