Matfen features a historic Great Hall with a stunning vaulted ceiling and stained glass windows, as well as a sweeping staircase for those gorgeous wedding photos.

The Drawing Room has views of the surrounding gardens and parkland, and is perfect for your wedding breakfast, with the Emerald Restaurant also available for overflow or smaller groups. The Vault Bar is an ideal space for drinks and dancing in the evening and our brand new Cloisters Restaurant is also suitable for your reception, or even a DJ set on the Mezzanine. We also have BBQ spaces and pizza ovens available, so you and your guests can enjoy a range of catering options.

The hotel boasts 63 luxurious bedrooms, a spa and a golf course, as well as 300 acres of Northumbrian parkland with plenty of space for marquees.
