An hour from London, The Manor is a Grade II listed building, set in the centre of 40 acres of private parkland, built originally in 1540's the perfect setting for an unforgettable wedding reception. The Manor is available as a dry hire venue and becomes yours exclusively for the duration of your celebration with the option of accommodation in 7 bedrooms.

The Manor has the flexibility for you to create the reception you want with the option of accommodation for you and your guests. This can include the wedding party preparing for the big day in a relaxed environment with overnight stays either side, and maybe a BBQ for close friends and family the following day.

Marquees for up to 350 guests sit well on the manicured lawns with the historic house becoming a beautiful backdrop. You engage directly with a marquee company to hire your choice of marquee. The extensive outside spaces provide unlimited opportunities for your day. The terrace is a very flexible space which can be used for your blessing or reception drinks upon your guest’s arrival from the ceremony. St Nicholas Church is a five minute walk along an avenue of trees.

The house has seven stylish guest rooms with a mix of double, twin and family rooms, which can be configured for up to 23 guests. The pool is heated (April to October). For smaller weddings, the 16th C. panelled Dining Room formally seats up to 36, with room for up to 14 additional evening guests, or 50 for a more informal reception. The Manor has plenty of secure car parking with attendants included and cars may be collected the next day.

Whether you are looking for a small wedding reception in the house or a marquee on the lawns next to the house for up to 350 guests, the Manor is an idyllic setting for an afternoon, evening or weekend of celebrations. We are not licensed for wedding ceremonies but blessings and services on the terrace or under the old yew tree are very special. The lovely St Nicholas church is at the end of the garden, a 200 meter walk along a tree lined avenue.
