JESMOND DENE HOUSE - set within the exclusive suburb of Jesmond yet only minutes away from Newcastle city centre, enjoying the countryside experience without the travel. We are a Grade II listed, independently-owned boutique hotel with 40 luxurious bedrooms, surrounded by Jesmond Dene, a woodland valley dotted with waterfalls and rustic bridges.

We are licensed to hold civil ceremonies for up to 110 guests so we can host your whole wedding or just the reception. We offer the choice of grand or intimate rooms and spaces, as well as some creative dining options so you can create a truly individual wedding.

For larger gatherings we have the Great Hall - a double-height room with oak panelling, minstrels' gallery, vast fireplace and lofty windows. The Great Hall can be used for larger wedding ceremonies of up to 100 guests. For an evening wedding with entertainment the Hall can take up to 110 guests for drinks and dancing.

For intimate weddings and pre-wedding celebrations, we also have three smaller rooms available which can accommodate between 4-30, allowing for a more cosy arrangement. Everything from intimate weddings, bridal-showers, supper parties, pre-wedding & rehearsal dinners, late wedding breakfasts or evening cocktails and canapés!

If you’re looking for something different, why not take a look at our outside space and exchange vows on the terrace or in our newest space, The Secret Garden? This intimate spot is located in our very own Enchanted Forest where you can be wed to the tranquil sound of the Armstrong Waterfall only steps away and take in the views of leafy Jesmond Dene. After the blessing, celebrate with your guests and create your very own garden party with music and magical festoon lighting, then feast under the stars with a Jesmond Dene House style BBQ.

After dancing the night away, we have cosy bedrooms for you to kick back and relax. The hotel has 40 individually designed bedrooms which all vary in size and character. And of course, the honeymoon suite is for the newly-weds. Located above the Great Hall, the 'Apartment Suite' has its own entrance with a staircase leading up to a private lounge, bedroom and double bathroom. The added extra of a private terrace is perfect for sneaking away for a quiet moment and toasting to being newly-weds.
