Accessed via its impressive tree lined drive, experience the beautiful sweeping views over the house and grounds. The house itself is full of outstanding architecture and gothic features, with high decorative ceilings, beautiful working fireplaces and an elegance worthy of any stately home.

Grittleton House was built for entertaining, with its large ballroom, cosy library and elegant social spaces, not forgetting the impressive orangery overlooking the Italian sunken gardens. The magnificence of the sweeping double staircase is a wonderful sight as you enter the main hall.

We offer a choice of unique ceremony areas, both within the main house and grounds outside. We feel confident that there is one which is perfect for you whether you want an intimate affair for a small group or a larger celebration for a few hundred guests. Choose from the richness and warmth of the central hall, with its stunning arched ceiling and balconies or the light and airy tones of the yellow gallery. For something larger there is always the Victorian Orangery with its stunning views of the terrace and formal gardens. In the glorious summer months enjoy an alfresco ceremony in the sunken Italian Garden or the spectacular grounds.

Our Michelin trained chefs have created a range of menus using the best and, where possible, local ingredients. Alternatively, why not create your own bespoke menu - our chefs will be happy to have a chat! Our bar is well stocked and the cellars are full; advice is on hand to help you select the perfect pairing of wine and food.

To complete the perfect package we also have on site accommodation, with newly appointed master bedrooms in the main house and further guest accommodation in the converted Victorian stables in the grounds.

Grittleton House is situated within the Cotswolds in the picturesque village of Grittleton, just a short distance from Bath and Bristol and there are fabulous transport links to London and beyond. For those that are driving, we are just 5 minutes from the M4 with ample parking.
