Built in 1912, Gorse Hill is a quintessentially English Edwardian Manor House situated in the stunning Surrey countryside. Set in 17 acres of grounds, with plenty of character and charm, it’s a beautiful venue for any occasion, but particularly comes alive on a wedding day. Gorse Hill was once home to a number of colourful Edwardian characters, but this ‘hidden gem’ is now a relaxed and intimate venue.
Our grand mansion house is exclusively yours for your wedding day from midday until midnight. Retaining its original character and charm, we have a variety of rooms to accommodate intimate gatherings and larger celebrations. Gorse Hill is licensed to hold civil marriages and partnership ceremonies for up to 150 guests. The Mansion Lounge can seat up to 90 guests and the Hook Heath suite can seat up to 150 guests. Every room in Gorse Hill is as beautiful as the next and can be dressed to suit the style and theme of your day.
Our experienced team will help you plan every detail to perfection to ensure your special day is uniquely yours. Whether you choose to have your ceremony in one of our characteristic licensed rooms or would like Gorse Hill to host your wedding reception, we will work closely with you to create the wedding day of your dreams.
The wedding menus have been created and prepared by our Head Chef and his team who will provide the catering on your big day. We serve fresh, locally sourced and inspired dishes to delight and satisfy you and your guests.
And once the celebrations come to an end, spend your wedding night in our Honeymoon Suite which comes with its own balcony overlooking the gardens and is the perfect escape to relax and reflect on your wonderful day. Your guests can also enjoy a night in one of our 67 cosy and stylish rooms.
Gorse Hill has a peaceful location surrounded by green gardens, yet is situated just a few minutes from the centre of Woking and is located between the M25 and M3, offering easy access to London and a number of local attractions.
