Fison Barn is a stunning and beautifully maintained nineteenth century barn, now licensed for wedding ceremonies. The original oak beams have been lovingly restored and local Western Red Cedar has been used on the exterior cladding. Fison Barn offers a picturesque ‘blank canvas’ providing the flexibility to create the wedding of your dreams.

The large barn doors open onto our tranquil courtyard where bats and swallows have made their homes in the barn eaves, red kites swoop overhead and there are floral displays of herbs and plants attracting butterflies and insects. The courtyard area provides an ideal extension for events in good weather or an area for erecting a marquee should you so wish.

The beauty of Fison Barn is that we are a ‘dry hire’ venue. We do supply tables and chairs, but then you have the flexibility to hire in caterers, entertainment and a bar company or supply your own. You would also need to hire in crockery, cutlery, glassware, linen etc. (although many caterers will do this for you). You can decorate the barn as you wish, making your wedding unique to you.



Fison Barn is a part of Earth Trust. Earth Trust is an environmental learning charity. We are the proud guardian of 500 hectares of farmland, woodland, and wetland on the bank of the River Thames. We champion accessible natural green spaces and our mission is to give the public the opportunity to engage with their environment through the beautiful green spaces we look after.

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do: our eco-friendly biomass boiler provides under floor heating during winter for all our buildings. We harvest rain water for our toilets and our solar panels generate greenhouse-free electricity to meet a substantial portion of our electricity requirements. We are happy to allow the use of bio-degradable confetti.

Nestling at the foot of the Wittenham Clumps nature reserve, Fison Barn is set amidst 1200 acres of stunning countryside yet is conveniently located just 11 miles from Oxford and 18 miles from Reading.
