Welcome to Cuckoo Down Farm, set in the beautiful Devonshire countryside. Located in the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and just four miles from the beautiful beaches of the World Heritage Coastline at Beer, Branscombe and Sidmouth, you can hire the whole site here for a small intimate gathering or a huge extravaganza for your wedding celebrations.

Our farm has five fields and a three-acre oak wood, with a pretty stream running through it. Look out for swallows, foxes, rabbits, badgers, deer and owls. We’re a working farm with a flock of Suffolk cross sheep, as well as ponies for children to ride. Why not hold your ceremony in our rustically romantic wedding glade in the woods with heaps of haybales providing seating for your guests? We can also offer the bride and groom a "Just Married" ride in our farm tractor and trailer.

You can even book the whole of Cuckoo Down Farm for your own exclusive use so that you have the whole site just for you and your guests making the day totally private for your dream wedding. The farm is perfect for festival-style celebrations where everyone gets to stay for the entire weekend. The whole site can be yours from Friday at 4pm to Monday at 10am (Marquee set up from Thursday).

With use of our seven acre wedding meadow we have plenty of room for a marquee providing space for around 170 guests to attend your reception and we can offer glamping accommodation for up to 36 guests with unlimited additional camping/campervans for further guests to stay. We have four luxury safari tents and three yurts in a six-acre meadow. Each glamping tent has its own wood burning stove to keep you warm and cosy, all tents have their own loo and kitchen each and the safari tents have their own hot showers. Look out for our newest safari tent, Blackberry, which also comes with a private wood-fired hot tub.

We are happy to share our preferred supplier lists for marquee, catering, bar etc and in addition, we offer a free planning weekend stay before the wedding for the bride and groom aswell as onsite support throughout your wedding weekend - we'll be there to help out, as much or as little as you need. And even better.... we don't charge corkage!! We also have a separate field that provides lots of parking for all your guests.
