Located on a private estate, in the North West of Cumbria, the Castletown Woodland Wedding & Events venue nestles between the lake district and Gretna providing the perfect location if you are looking for a place to get married which is not your traditional wedding venue - you would be getting married surrounded by nature. The unique tipis and setting offers a place where couples can design and create their dream ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening celebration in a magical and natural environment.

Hidden in the secluded woodland area is an historic dovecote, licensed for official wedding ceremonies, as well as blessings or humanist ceremonies. It has been completely restored but in a way which still shows its rustic and original features.

The wedding celebrations take place in the stunning tipis. Decorated with flowers, winding ivy, festoon lights and beautiful wooden carvings, it is the most idyllic background for a very special day. There is a fully licensed bar, made from reclaimed wood, which will be stocked with a selection of local produce, as well as a choice of the couple’s favourite brands. As night falls the venue comes alive with twinkling fairy lights, uplighted trees and the crackling of fire pits, perfect for roasting marshmallows and warming your toes. Located in the tipis is a fully lit dance floor, perfect for every type of party.
