Weddings at Carlowrie combine the luxury of the Castle, the stunning new marquee, the idyllic walled garden and 32 acres of perfectly manicured grounds that together provide the perfect ingredients for an incredibly special day.

Originally built in 1852, the castle underwent a £4 million, 2 year refurbishment and opened as a wedding and events venue in 2015. Less than a year after opening this resulted in Carlowrie being recognised as one of the top 3 venues in Europe with under 200 bedrooms at The International Hotel & Property Awards 2016.

Celebrations have gone on in Carlowrie since 1852 when it was built and the Carlowrie Castle team have learned more than a few things about throwing legendary celebrations since opening in 2015. We have various rooms for you to use throughout your ceremony and celebrations including:

The Orangery - The Orangery is a truly serene space, a blank canvas that transforms spectacularly to reflect the happy couple’s dream day, from the wedding service through to the evening reception. The Orangery hosts up to 110 guests for dining and has direct access onto the lawn and grounds and is suitable for wheelchair access.

The Marquee - we are extremely proud of our new Marquee, a stunning new space boasting floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lawn to the castle. Fully equipped with a fabulous marble-topped bar, boutique restrooms, crystal chandeliers and colour select led lighting. The marquee hosts up to 300 guests for dining and 450 guests for an evening reception. The style and design of our marquee reflects the Carlowrie brand; sleek, modern and luxurious.

Carlowrie’s kitchens are provided with only the best of locally-sourced produce. Our beef comes exclusively from the Buccleuch estate; local growers are responsible for our fresh produce; and our fish hand-picked at dawn by expert-fishmongers along the Scottish coast. Our head chef and his brigade are always looking for the next challenge and see Carlowrie at the forefront of Scotland's thriving culinary scene, continuing to delight and inspire our eclectic range of discerning clients.

Party as long as you like - kick back and party with top DJs from Scotland’s eclectic music scenes, drink cocktails in the bar made by Carlowrie mixologists. There are spaces to chill out in, spaces for dancing the night away and conveniently, luxury bedrooms to slip into at dawn.

Spread across three floors of Carlowrie Castle and Carlowrie’s Gate Lodge, we offer fourteen spacious and luxurious bedrooms, accommodating up to 26 guests. Each of our bedrooms has been individually designed and decorated with original works by some of the world’s leading contemporary artists. The ensuite bathrooms feature handmade roll top baths, marble tiles, underfloor heating and walk-in showers. Spend your wedding night in one of our luxury bedrooms and wake up in your very own Victorian castle with your closest family and friends close by.

Only a 30 minute drive from Edinburgh city centre we are located close to the airport, so easily accessible for guests coming from near and far.
