Boconnoc is a country estate in South East Cornwall tucked down two miles of private roads. The main house and grounds are available to hire for anything from a candle-lit dinner for two, to a house party for 18 guests or a wedding or party for up to 240 guests. We also have self-catering holiday cottages.

Boconnoc House was awarded the Historic Houses Association / Sotheby’s Restoration Award and the Georgian Group Architectural Award for the Restoration of a Country Mansion in 2012. The beautiful house is surrounded by a Deerpark, lake and glorious woodlands, gardens and farmland.

The 800 year-old Boconnoc Church makes a spectacular backdrop to a traditional wedding ceremony and is bursting with history. Soaring stained glass windows, a striking vaulted ceiling and space for even the largest of wedding parties make our church amongst the most beautiful churches in Cornwall. The Church is found right in the heart of the estate with views stretching from the Gardens and ancient woodland to the Deer Park and the Lake.

Kick off an unforgettable wedding weekend with a Friday night party in the Stable Yard. For something more ethereal, why not set your drinks reception amidst tropical palms to the soundtrack of a trickling waterfall? Between the peaceful natural surroundings and a few frosty gin and tonics, a party at the Lake is the perfect introduction to Cornwall’s charms.

The Dorothy Garden also offers an idyllic backdrop for outdoor drinks and the Gardens are even spacious enough to accommodate stylish Bedouin tents and live entertainment.

The sunken Georgian Bathhouse is one more beguiling feature; gather your guests for a candlelit dinner or for larger parties, a marquee on the lawns, while the House offers the convenience of a fully stocked bar, a dazzling dance floor and a cosy fire to curl up next to at the end of the night.
